Purified Water System

Raw Water Storage Tank:

Automatically controls water intake; the inlet valve (pneumatic butterfly valve, oversized to accommodate low municipal water flow velocity) closes when the tank is full, effectively preventing water hammer.
Plate Heat Exchanger:

Provides pasteurization for the pretreatment system while regulating raw water temperature (automatically controlled via setpoint).
Sterilization timing starts automatically once the return water temperature meets requirements.
Equipped with a bypass control valve to maintain operation during heat exchanger maintenance/cleaning.
Raw Water Flow Monitoring:

Online flow meter for real-time inflow measurement, with a manual diaphragm valve for fine flow adjustment.
Multi-Media Filter (MMF):

Constructed in 304 stainless steel with vulcanized rubber lining.
Utilizes butterfly valves for high-flow inlet control.
MMF Pressure Monitoring:

Inlet/outlet pressure gauges for backwash/forward wash triggering based on differential pressure.

Primary RO Membranes:

Uses Dow FilmTec™ composite membranes (USA).
Primary High-Pressure Pump:

CRN series with all 316 stainless steel wetted parts for corrosion resistance.
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Control for Primary Pump:

Automatically adjusts flow rate.
Switches to low-frequency recirculation mode when the primary RO tank is full (minimizes energy waste while maintaining system flow).
Primary RO Product Water Diverter Valve:

3-way solenoid valve (normally open/closed) automatically switches flow based on product water conductivity.
Mounted directly on the downstream storage tank to eliminate sanitary dead legs.
Drainage Points:

Low-point drain valves installed across all primary RO permeate piping.
Sampling Ports:

Individual sample valves at each membrane housing outlet + combined permeate sampling point for troubleshooting water quality issues (enables sectional testing).
